Reports Say Brendan O'Brian Producing New AC/DC Album
April 10, 2008, 16 years ago
As reported last month, a BW&BK; source has revealed that Aussie hard rock legends AC/DC landed in Vancouver, BC on March 1st to commence work on their anxiously-awaited new album.
Meanhwhile, SUPERSUCKERS bassist Eddie Spaghetti has posted the following:
"I'm sure you're all wondering, 'where the hell is that new 'suckers record', well rest assured it IS coming. It's just taking a little longer than we expected to get done. Our current snag is that the producer of the new record wants to make some last minute tweaks and, well, he can't right now. He's been detained by a little Australian band called, uh, AC/DC.
That's right our man Billy Bowers, who did such a stellar job on our Paid E.P., is an engineer for Brendan O'Brian (VELVET REVOLVER, AUDIOSLAVE) who is producing the new AC/DC record and so he's been taken away from our project temporarily."
AC/DC's last album, 2000's Stiff Upper Lip, was recorded at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC with George Young (Angus and Malcolm Young's older brother) and engineered/mixed by Mike Fraser (METALLICA, AEROSMITH, VAN HALEN).
Stay tuned for further updates.
