HUNG Return With New Album And New Drummer
April 23, 2008, 16 years ago
New York City-based progressive metal band HUNG have announced their return to the stage July 25th, 2008 after an absence of 10 months. Though quiet for that time, they were definitely not idle; they spent those months recording, releasing and promoting their new album Progeny, as well as searching for a new drummer. Hung has welcomed drummer David Mieloch to the band, officially ending the hunt.
The July 25th show takes place at the Ace of Clubs in Manhattan and will not only serve as the record release party for Progeny, but also mark the band's first show with Mieloch, who stated he was looking forward to this new partnership. "They are all incredible musicians and I'm really excited to see where we can push the frontiers of metal together."
Bassist Sam Roon similarly expressed the band's enthusiasm for their new record and their new member. "Progeny is the demo album we should have had 2 years ago, and Dave Mieloch is the drummer we should have had since the beginning. I'm more excited about being a part of HUNG now than ever before. Listen to the CD, check us out in full force live this summer when we perform in support of the new CD, and tell your friends that HUNG is back and better than ever."
