BW&BK; has received the following:

On a single-minded mission to preach their message of redemption wrapped in rock n’ roll, Venus’ favourite export, VALIENT THORR, is ready to drop their latest album with the June 16th release of Immortalizer on Volcom Entertainment.

The new record - incredibly, their fourth in five years - is a testament to the band’s hard-working existence, with a staggeringly productive tour schedule that finds them averaging close to 250 dates a year.

Having capped 2007 with a successful support slot for metal heroes MOTÖRHEAD on their recent tour of Germany, Valient Thorr will be invading the UK for this year’s Download Festival after their scheduled shows with TURBONEGRO were cancelled due to Euroboy’s illness.

The following message was beamed in to The Noise Cartel headquarters yesterday:

"We were very sorry to hear about our buddy Euroboy's illness, and we never like to cancel any shows ever. But under the circumstances, we just hope and wish the whole Turbo family a speedy recovery and positive vibrations. As for the rest of the shows, we cancelled those so I could give my Earth father one of my kidneys. But as it works out, we'll be back in time for Download Festival and hopefully be able to squeeze in a couple bar shows as well. Either way, in the coming months, we'll make it up to all the Thorriors, and all of the Jugend fans.

See you all soon, Valient Himself and the rest of the Thorrs."

Since hitting the road full-time, Valient Thorr has enjoyed successive, high-profile stints on the Vans Warped Tour in 2005 and 2006, and has toured incessantly with such varied acts as JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, GOGOL BORDELLO, FU MANCHU and Motörhead.

Immortalizer is released via Volcom Entertainment on June 16th, 2008.
