The inaugural Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous rumbles into downtown San Bernardino, starting Friday.

The two-day festival is a celebration of motorcy-cles and music that will include live entertainment, cruising, "show and shine" displays of custom bikes, food and merchandise vendors.

This first-ever event, the brainchild of San Bernardino firefighters, is expected to attract bike aficionados from all over the world.

"We've been working on this for two years - it's a labor of love," said Fire Department spokesman Tom Rubio.

"We'll have a lot of big-name sponsors and custom-bike builders. Kevin and Mona Alsop will bring their latest creations from Big Bear Choppers."

The "Make the Noise Ride" begins at 3 p.m. Friday from the Third Street Fire Station and winds through San Bernardino's main streets.

"When people hear the noise of 100 motorcycles running through town, that's when they know the Berdoo Bikes & Blues is about to begin," Rubio said.

San Bernardino City Firefighters Local 891 - and the city of San Bernardino are co-sponsors of the event.

Not only is the event big, it's big on family fun.

Attractions include the Monster Bike. It's the Guinness World Records' tallest rideable motorcycle - all 11 feet 3 inches of it.

You'll also see Ozzy Osborne's custom bike, as well as the bike of Vince Neil of MÖTLEY CRÜE.
