According to Bill Chapin Blog.mlive.com, the Jackson County Fair on Friday announced TED NUGENT will be playing the 2008 fair. The concert is at 8 p.m. Aug. 5, which is Tuesday of fair week. Nugent comments about heading home:

"I so cherish and celebrate my beloved Michigan roots that the band and I are beyond giddy to jam not only in MI, but smack dab in the center of my home venison epicenter of Jackson. I crave playing my MotorCity music anywhere and everywhere anytime, but a return to my Winter, Water Wonderland BloodBrother campfire is off the charts! Like my love for hunting anywhere, something very special and spiritual takes place in my home swamp in the state of my birth and upbringing, and as I can't wait to walk the wilds of Michigan with bow and arrow in hand in the land of Fred Bear, my music, too, takes on a life of its own in Michigan. It is incredibly intense!"
