GBH's Jock Contributes Riffs To New BENEDICTION Album
May 1, 2008, 16 years ago
Birmingham, UK-based metallers BENEDICTION have issued the following update in regards to their forthcoming new album, Killing Music:
"We had Jock [guitarist Colin Blyth] from GBH come in and add some punk riffing to our cover of 'Seeing Through My Eyes' by BROKEN BONES. Being the punk icon pro that he is, he banged it all out in one take (including the solo) the bastard! We still get a massive kick out of bands like GBH and even though we have been mates with all the lads in GBH for twenty odd years it is still a big deal for us to actually get to be on a recording with one of them. We are still beaming with delight over this. Its great! You just ask people and they say yes! How far can we take our cheek by just asking our heroes to play on our albums (we are going to ask ROB HALFORD, PRINCE and TOM JONES to sing on our next one!)"As previously reported, Killing Music is set to feature the following tracks (in no particular order): 'Hell's Gate', 'Cold, Deathless, Unrepentant', 'Killing Music', 'Dripping With Disgust', 'Dissembler', 'Rats In The Mask (Controlopolis)', 'Betrayer', 'Immaculate Facade', 'They Bleed', 'Frozen Heart', 'The Grey Man', 'As Her Skin Weeps', 'They Must Die Screaming', 'Seeing Through My Eyes' (BROKEN BONES cover), 'Largactyl' (AMEBIX cover).
Benediction's are expected to issue Killing Music through Nuclear Blast Records this year. Updates to follow.
