FIREWIND guitarist Gus G has issued the following update:

"Hello folks!

So, the European tour has come to an end! It has been a very successful tour for us playing packed clubs all across Europe together with KAMELOT and FOREVER SLAVE. All shows have been very special and memorable to us. We got to play some countries for the first time. Bulgaria and Serbia were just fantastic! In Sofia, we played in a big sports arena in front of 2,000 crazy fans! Serbia was sold out and people really love Firewind there – we promise to come back as soon as possible!

Then it was German shows ahead. Munich was killer. Then in Ludwigsburg the sound problems came and even though we had to stop in the middle of the set (first time we had to do that) because the PA almost exploded from the noise, the fans really appreciated the fact that we carried on and it ended up being a very cool and memorable show. Essen and Hamburg were just crazy, with Hamburg being a true highlight of this tour - cheers to all our German friends and fans!

Scandinavia was up next. It was first time for us in Finland and both shows in Helsinki and Oulou were a nice experience. After the Helsinki show we went out for some drinks with our friends of HIM and STRATOVARIUS and partied a bit. Kippis!

Sweden and Norway was lots of fun too and we got to see all our friends in Gothenburg: Snowy Shaw (THERION, ex- DREAM EVIL) was there as well as Tara and our director / photographer Patric Ullaeus.

All in all this was a great and memorable tour, big thanx to Kamelot, Forever Slave, all crew members and everyone involved in making this tour possible! We plan on returning to Europe this Autumn with a headline tour this time and we hope to see all of you out there!

Next up it’s the Tyranny & Bloodshred over North America, so no rest for the wicked!! See u out there!!"
