July 2008 will see Scarlet Records releasing Swedish band THE DEFACED’s long-awaited third full length album. Formed in 1999 by a group of musicians already well known for their activity in relevant Swedish acts such as SOILWORK, DARKANE and TERROR 2000, The Defaced debuted in 2001 with Domination Commence, which was followed by Karma In Black iin 2003. The Defaced established itself as one of the leading forces in Scandinavian metal.
Anomaly is the confirmed title for The Defaced’s new studio effort, recorded at Ceasar Studio and Palace Of Noise Studio and mixed by guitarists Klas Ideberg (Darkane/Terror 2000) and Swaney (Swaney) at Not Quite Studio in Helsingborg. The new album boasts a vast progression of the sound established by The Defaced on previous records, with a particular mention for the new singer Jens Broman’s devastating performance. New barriers are crossed stepping away from the convention of the scene in general, making the album a force of nature. This is the Anomaly! The Defaced… stronger than ever.
