THIN LIZZY Tribute Benefits Drugs Awareness

According to Wicklowpeople.ie, following the hugely successful THIN LIZZY charity tribute weekend which took place in Arklow recently, organiser Colm Weadick presented a generous donation to a worthwhile local cause. Arklow Drugs Awareness received a cheque for €2000 which was accepted by Margaret Kelly.

Next week will see a similar donation made to Paul Kelly on behalf of CONSOLE Suicide Awareness.
Top Thin Lizzy fan Colm decided to put the event which featured headline act and tribute band Tizz Lizzy in a bid to create awareness around the issues of drug awareness and suicide and to raise funds for them.
Special guest Philomena Lynott, mother of the late Phil travelled to Arklow and spoke about the issues as well as supporting the gigs and music sessions.
It is now expected that a similar event will take place next year.
