New JOHNNY TRUANT Album To See Canadian Release In June
May 13, 2008, 16 years ago
Brighton, UK-based metal act JOHNNY TRUANT will unleash their latest sonic assault, No Tears For The Creatures, in Canada, on June 3rd through Distort Inc.
Recorded in the band’s stomping grounds, Olly, Stuart, Reuben, Alan and Paul hit their stride while writing as a 5-piece for the first time. Taking a more honest and introspective lyrical approach, Johnny Truant moves away from the metal core genre that they are so often pigeon-holed in, and finds themselves honing a sound they can truly call their own.
Brutally raw and intense, No Tears For The Creatures is a testament of Johnny Truant’s true musical potential and is a key element in cementing their status as one of today’s most important metal bands.
The first single, ‘Death Rides’, is already a fixture on BBC Radio One and the band is currently preparing to embark on a headlining tour across the UK. No stranger to the festival circuit, Johnny Truant will also be making its
third appearance at Donington Park’s Download Festival this June.
With the band's great love for all things Canadian and having Canada feel like a second home to them, it is no surprise that on their latest release, the featured vocalist on the track ‘Widower’ is none other than Canada’s own
Wade MacNeil of ALEXISONFIRE.
Be sure to catch Johnny Truant when they return to Canada for a headlining tour in August 2008.
