WHITESNAKE Mainman To Guest On Bloomberg Television Tonight
May 19, 2008, 16 years ago
Tonight on the Bloomberg Television program Night Talk anchor Mike Schneider talks to WHITESNAKE mainman David Coverdale and music artist and producer NILE RODGERS.
David Coverdale talks about how the advent of the music video created a media monster: "The demands of the greedy, corporate beast that was MTV and that was the record business, regardless of how powerful I became in terms of selling records and tickets and all the rest, they could still dictate to me artistically...and I didn't like that at all."
He touched on juggling the rock star image with middle age: "If you're going to be selling songs that have something to do with love or sex or whatever its not to go out there looking like you don't love or have sex anymore."
Night Talk airs in North America, Europe and Asia on Bloomberg TV at 10PM on weeknights and is simulcast on Bloomberg Radio at 10PM. Bloomberg Radio is broadcast on 1130AM in the New York Metropolitan area and is available on XM and Sirius.
