BATTLELORE frontman / EVEMASTER guitarist Tomi Mykkänen is working on material with his MONSTER MAGNET-styled rock band ELEPHANT BELL. He recently spoke to BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai about the project, which has been kicking around for over a decade.
"Elephant Bell is something we've worked on since '94 or so," says Mykkänen, who plays guitar in the band and goes by the moniker Tom C. Johnson. "We started as trashy death metal band SOULSET, then we went to progressive rock and changed the name to SHAMOS, and then we started coming back to harder and rockier stuff and finally changed the name to Elephant Bell... it was 2000 or so. Since then we've been rocking slowly but surely. Hopefully we'll get an album done this year. Would be extremely nice."Go to this location to check out Elephant Bell audio samples.
