As previously reported, Irish folk metal act WAYLANDER have posted two tracks from their forthcoming third effort entitled Honour Amongst Chaos, due out via Listenable in Europe on July 7th. Head to this location to check out the songs 'As The Deities Clash' and 'Walk With Honour'.

Meanwhile singer Ard Chieftain is giving details on the theme of the songs:

'As The Deities Clash': "This song deals with religion and belief systems. It laments the fact that so much of the old ways have been lost or diluted with the coming of xtianity. It is based on the book of invasions where the various belief systems which arise with the influx of new settlers and tribes in Ireland are dealt with. These new tribes absorb certain elements of the knowledge of their neighbours, refining and defining their beliefs. The coming of xtianity with its desire to obliterate any and all other beliefs is somewhat ironic considering that xtianity itself is the bastard child of the very beliefs it wishes to destroy. The underlying theme is that mankind has always and will always need something religious or mystical to believe in, and that organized religion inevitably leads to persecution, and impinges upon mankind’s freedom."

'Walk With Honour': This song deals with what it is to be pagan, to live ones life in tune with nature and conduct ones life to a personal honour code. Ritual, invocation, and sacred oath go hand in hand with this ethos. The rape of mother earth and the inexcusable apathy of the so called “educated” first world nations, the inevitable consequences of society’s mind numbing ignorance and fickleness of modern man are included in the narrative. The theme is about leading by example, about 'walking with honour' in the eternal hope that someone may pay heed."
