The Metal Resource has issued an interview with vocalist/guitarist Ian Arkley of reformed British metallers SEVENTH ANGEL. The following is an excerpt from the interview:

Q: For the younger people who are reading this, can you tell us something about the origin of Seventh Angel?

A: "We started around '87 and I hadn't been playing for very long at the time. It was really rough to start with, but things improved very quickly. There is a full history on our MySpace which tells the full story!"

Q: Why the name Seventh Angel? Is there a story behind it? (for the people that dont know anything about Seventh Angel).

A: "Difficult to answer really as the name came about so long ago! I know that I came up with it somehow, and I must have thought it sounded pretty cool at the time. It is from the book of Revelations."

Q: Who writes the music/lyrics in Seventh Angel? How do you get in the mood for writing music? And which bands/situations have influences you for writing music and lyrics?

A: "There is a lot of collaboration from various members. Simon and I wrote the lyrics for The Torment (mine were the really bad ones) and I wrote the bulk of the lyrics for Lament. Musically there were a lot of writers within the band. It is quite strange writing music for SA after all this time, but I am enjoying it. I know Simon is also working on some songs. For me it is hard to get 'in the mood' for writing... I normally wait for some inspiration to strike me!"
