Guitarist Todd Seitz from Boston-based progressive metallers STYGIA has issued the following update:

"Michael LePond of SYMPHONY X will now be recording bass tracks on the upcoming Stygia album. I'm sure his contribution to the album will be outstanding as he is part of the best progressive metal band in the business. I'm very lucky to have him take part in the debut album of Stygia.

Chris McCarvill is to be on an important tour this summer that I believe is still unannounced to the public. I still hope to work with Chris on future Stygia material and live shows.

You can check Mike out on tour supporting the incredible new Symphony X album Paradise Lost. These guys are truly the great metal masters of our time.

That's it for now! Lets Rock!"

In May Stygia announced the following lineup: vocalist Mike Vescera (ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, LOUDNESS, OBSESSION), keyboardist Mats Olausson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen), bassist Chris McCarvill (HOUSE OF LORDS, ex-JEFF SCOTT SOTO BAND) and drummer John Macaluso (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ARK, TNT).
