California's SUICIDE SILENCE just completed a sold-out European trek with PARKWAY DRIVE and BURY YOUR DEAD. The group will make their return to the US in early July as part of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour, alongside SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED and MACHINE HEAD, among a slew of others. The Summer Slaughter UK tour is set for August and September and will feature SUICIDE SILENCE, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, BORN OF OSIRIS, ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY, THE BERZERKER.

The tour’s creator Ash Avildsen (from booking agent TKO) is extremely excited to be bringing the tour over to the UK:

“We started the Summer Slaughter Tour in 2007 with NECROPHAGIST and DECAPITATED to give true fans of extreme music the best club festival line-up possible for the cheapest price possible. For North America we try to bring as much anticipated talent from overseas as we can while still including the best domestic bands available. This will be the first year for Summer Slaughter UK and we are trying to have the same overseas excitement we do here in the states, this time bringing American bands to the UK. While the inaugural line-up for the UK is more focused on younger extreme bands than the US or Canadian line-ups, we still feel it is showcasing a lot of different styles in the extreme metal world and are excited to launch Summer Slaughter UK in and anticipate it will become a yearly force to be reckoned with. We have four US bands (two making their overseas debut), one UK band and one Australian band, we proudly present to you Summer Slaughter UK 2008!”

Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker comments on their UK return: “We cannot wait to return to the UK and headline the Summer Slaughter tour overseas.
