Rockpages.gr has issued an interview that they conducted with CARCASS' Jeff Walker, where they discuss the band's back-catalogue reissues and the possibility of a new record. An excerpt follows:

Rockpages.gr: I’ve read that Earache is going to reissue your back catalogue with bonus material. Could you tell us a bit about this extra stuff?

Jeff: "There is going to be a documentary on every DVD. Some documentaries with just the band talking. It’s a kind of history of the band, and there’s also going to be some extra recordings; for example the whole version of 'Heartwork' that we did, how we actually recorded the album, that’s going to be included. So it’s kind of rare material, and I guess they remastered the album and…I don’t know how do you say it in Greek, they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel."

Rockpages.gr: I see… if Carcass did record a new album now, can you imagine how would it sound? After all these years?

Jeff: "What’s really funny is when we rehearsed in Sweden, Bill was showing Mike some Carcass riffs that never got recorded, so maybe it would sound like old Carcass."

Rockpages.gr: I thought that, since all three of you are into rock music, you know, FIREBIRD, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, and you did the Welcome To Carcass Cuntry album, maybe it would be some kind of death ‘n’ roll?

Jeff: "Well, I don’t think so, I think it would be pretty intense and brutal, because we have that side to us, we also have the Carcass side. As I just said, Bill has riffs that we never used so… but that’s why we would never do an album, because we’re just old guys, you know? (laughs)"
