July 3, 2008, 16 years ago
Famed rock guru Eddie Trunk revealed that JUDAS PRIEST will be the featured performers on August 4th for his blowout 25th Anniversary Bash, cosponsored by Legends Harley Davidson and Hard Rock Cafe.
Eddie, who is revered as the go-to guy for info on all things rock and heavy metal, announced that the special private show for 600 friends and fans will be at Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square.
Friday on his “Eddie Trunk Rocks” syndicated hard rock/metal radio show on the NYC flagship station Q104.3, Eddie announced an opportunity for hundreds of rock fans nationwide to win free tickets to the heavy metal bash via a contest on www.EddieTrunk.com.
Eddie said, "I've had the privilege of meeting and/or interviewing most of the top metal and hard rock artists at various points in my career and sharing their stories and music with millions of fans on air through TV and radio. To have an iconic band like Judas Priest, who helped invent the genre and are true legends, play a private show to celebrate my contributions and support is humbling to say the least! It would be tough to find another band that defines metal like Priest, so this is an honor beyond belief and one I can truly say I would have never dreamed of as a kid!”
He added, “It's my sincere hope that many of the artists and special guests that have been a part of my show over the years, as well as my incredibly loyal listening audience, will be able to join me for what will be a very special night. This will be a great night to celebrate this often overlooked style of music and its fans, and to party with many of the people that have made it possible for me to do this so long. And like my radio shows themselves, there will no doubt be some great surprises in store!”
The invitation-only event promises to be a star-studded evening that lucky ticket winners will never forget. Trunk’s invitation list includes scores of the top artists and celebrities in the music and broadcasting industry who have been guests on his television and radio shows. Fans may enter to win Anniversary Bash tickets by registering and following the instructions on www.EddieTrunk.com through July 25th. New winners will be chosen each week. Fans listening live to Eddie's show on Q104.3 can also win by calling into the station every time they hear him play a Judas Priest song. Trunk's brand new web site was developed and is managed by Paid, Inc.’s celebrity services, which coordinates all Trunk’s fan community relations web presence, fan community relations and merchandising as well as on line and mobile promotions.
