According to AC/DC fan-site Crabsodyinblue.com, close friends and fans of AC/DC legend Bon Scott have recently been angered and disappointed with the current positioning of the Bon Scott statue in Fremantle. The statue is currently at Cicerellos - a Fish N' Chip shop in Fremantle. The restaurant urges people to "come have a meal and a drink with Bon." An excerpt from their website reads as follows:

Sculptor Greg James' tribute to AC/DC's former front man has at last found a home in Cicerello's main restautant, suitably lit in a full-on rock and roll pose.

It's fitting that the statue occupies pride of place housed at Cicerellos, another legend of Scott's former hometown of Fremantle. Scott moved to the port city from Scotland when he was 10.

Scott was AC/DC's lead singer and lyricist for six years before he died from alcohol poisoning in London while on tour. Click here for more of Bon's story.

As Fremantle Mayor Peter Tagliaferri says, "He's a favourite son and it's a classic story ... he came from humble beginnings and he did great things,'' Mr Tagliaferri said.

"It will draw more attention to Fremantle from an international scene ... he is a legend not only in his hometown but across the world.''

The Bob Scott Statue Project began over 12 months ago, cost more than $100,000 in total and was made in Fremantle by sculptor Greg James.
