Polish dark metallers DARZAMAT have begun the work on their new album, a successor of the 2005 album Transkarpatia. According to a press release, the album satisfied the most refined metal tastes of all those who love dark, heavy, climatic black/death metal. The band remained silent for three years so now it's time for a new material.

Darzamat's vocalist Flauros explains: "There was no sign of life from us during the past few months, yet the silence was only apparent. There were a few factors contributing to this, yet I can assure that we weren't on holiday during that time. The whole group was engaged in a very hard work on a few projects. Obviously, the most important one is Darzamat's new album but the rest is not less interesting. First of all, our keyboard player, Spectre, has been very strongly wrapped up in the new fantastic undertaking. He was asked to prepare a film soundtrack for Discovery channel! It's a dusky and dismal picture about serial killers ravaging in Poland. Nera was also engaged in this undertaking - she sang a couple of truly insane musical backgrounds. As far as I know, the film will be broadcast sometime this year."

Darzamat's musicians have also been working on their new musical projects: KHODE SIX and NEUROTIC SINDROME. Flauros: "Together with the guitar player Chris we're writing the music for the debut album of

Khode Six (www.myspace.com/khodesix), while Nera and Spectre have practically finished Neurotic Sindrome's album (www.myspace.com/neuroticsindrome). These are for us a sort of a change from our daily activities in Darzamat. However, these two bands are totally different. The time for their more detailed presentation will come at the end of this year".

The band has already started to compose the material that will appear on Darzamat's new album. Although it will be musically diversified, it is to be the most coherent record in the band's history..... "Apart from the characteristic symphonic fragments, there will also be elements of film music. The record will be heavy, climatic and go-ahead, obviously within the frames of its convention. I'd also say that, in some moments, the material is even epic. One way or another, one can expect some surprises, although it will still be Darzamat. Some may find it interesting that it's going to be the first concept album in the band's history," explains Flauros.
