Black metallers HELLSAW are set to release the vinyl version of Phantasm via Austria’s Bloodred Horizon Records in August. The album will come in a gatefold cover and will include a poster. The first 100 copies will be released on coloured vinyl.

The nine- track album was produced by DARK FORTRESS’ Victor Bullok, and is the second full-length release from the Austrian band, whose 2005 Spiritual Twilight, together with extensive touring and festival appearances, established the name of Hellsaw in the European Underground, both as a recording band, and as a considerable live force. Live appearances are very much part of the Hellsaw agenda, and the band likes to ensure that it is stage-ready at any time. “Performing in front of a live audience,” commented front man and founder Aries “is an incredible experience. The dynamics between band and audience give a whole new dimension to the music.”

The band is currently working on new material for the follow up to Phantasm and will enter the studio in October to start recording. According to Aries the album will still have the distinctive Hellsaw sound, but will be a move forward: “I think you could say that we have arrived at a sound that is unmistakably ours, now we just want to build up on that and produce an album that shows a further progression in our music. We’ve never been a band that likes to sit still in anything we do.”

'The Ember Of Your Own' and 'The Inner Revenge Of Nature' from 'Phantasm' are available for free download on Hellsaw’s MySpace page at this location.
