Special report by Deb Rao:

Former SKID ROW frontman SEBASTIAN BACH first took the music industry by storm, as the band topped the Billboard Charts with such hits as '18 And Life' and 'I Remember You'. The song 'Youth Gone Wild' became the anthem for metal fans across the world and in 2008, the power anthem still sends out the same powerful message to youths today, as a whole new generation of fans are discovering these classic hits, as Sebastian Bach invades arenas across the country on the current POISON/DOKKEN/Sebastian Bach Live Raw and Uncut Tour 2008. It may be 2008, but Sebastian comments, "Here I am in 2008, twenty years after I started, I got a brand new record, I am touring arenas, this year feels exactly like the BON JOVI tour of '89. It is the same kind of vibe on the Poison tour. Everybody is having fun."

Over the past few years, Sebastian has ventured into many different musical roles on Broadway, and even appeared on WB's The Gilmore Girls, Broadway as Riff Raff on the Rocky Horror Show, title role in Dr. Jeckyl And Mr. Hyde, and starred in the national touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

2008 has proven to be one of the most successful years to date for the dynamic front man. Sebastian Bach along with his solo band which includes, Metal Mike Chlasciak on guitar, Steve DiGiorgio on bass, Bobby Jarzombek on drums, and Johnny Chromatic on guitar recently completed a two-week tour of Australia in May, and also toured Norway and Finland.

Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose (GUNS N' ROSES), two of the most prolific voices to emerge out of the 80's genre have joined forces on Sebastian Bach latest album Angel Down. Due to overwhelming demand for the CD, and Sebastian's love for films, Sebastian is re-releasing Angel Down as a Limited Edition CD/DVD with film documentary entitled Roadrage that encompasses the making of Angel Down and five live songs. Few front men capture the raw, pulverizing energy, as Sebastian, and Roadrage puts you front row and center with live concert footage from the Guns N' Roses 2006 tour. The compilation is available in the UK on July 21st and all FYE Stores in the USA. Also, if you are unable to make it to the stores, you can pick up a copy of "Angel Down" and Roadrage DVD on the Poison tour. The 14-song Angel Down album was produced by Roy Z (BRUCE DICKINSON, JUDAS PRIEST) and recorded primarily in the summer of 2006 at Sound City Studios in Hollywood.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Sebastian about the making of Roadrage in-depth, the Poison tour, working with Axl Rose, and special details regarding,” Angel Down", one of Sebastian Bach's most exhilarating works to date. and new tour info.

Sebastian, 2008 has been an amazing year for you so far. In May, you recently toured Australia. What were some of the highlights from the Land Down Under?

Bach: "The tour was incredible. This whole year has been an amazing year. Australia was awesome. It was my third time touring there in a year and a half, which is incredible. We headlined huge venues, and sold out most of the shows. It has been an incredible year. The American tour is outrageous. Every show is just huge. Tonight, we are here in the parking lot of Pikeville, Kentucky and another 100 percent sold-out show with 9,000 to 10,000 people. Definitely, this is going to be one of the greatest summers of my life. For sure, that is a fact."

It is so great to see you in the arena market. Last time, I saw you perform was on the Guns N'Roses tour. Now you are doing the Poison tour.

Bach: "Yes, I prefer playing arenas. Any musician that has an opportunity to play these arenas is very, very fortunate. I am so lucky. Here I am in 2008, 20 years after I started, I got a brand new record, I am touring arenas, and this year feels exactly like the Bon Jovi tour of '89. It is the same kind of vibe on the Poison tour. Everybody is having fun. I didn't realize how much the fans just fuckin' go crazy for Poison. They go nuts. (Laughter) Like last night in the arena in Rockford, IL, it was like THE BEATLES were playing. Everybody is so in to it for our band and for Poison. It is just crazy. People are more into '18 And Life', 'Youth Gone Wild' now than they were 20 years ago, just as much. There is no difference playing the songs."

You have always stayed in the public's eye too with your appearances on VH1. Do you think this has helped with the current mania status of the tour?

Bach: "Well, between Bret, and me this is definitely a VH1 Tour. Pretty much every time I watch VH! it goes into a Bret Michaels show then into a Sebastian Bach show. (Laughter) So this is definitely a tour that is kind of reaping the rewards of the television exposure on this tour. We are bringing the TV exposure back to Rock and Roll, which is awesome. It is working."

It is really exciting too that the fans at these shows are getting to hear your new music and songs live for the first time. Tell me how it feels for you to be performing this song live for this new generation?

Bach: "Well, doing the new songs has made me fall in love with what I do for a living all over again. That is a fact. I am a creative energetic dude, when we go from '18 And Life' into 'American Metalhead', believe me the crowd fuckin loves it. They love a lot of the new songs. They love 'Love Is A Bitchslap', 'Back In The Saddle', is a big song live. But yeah you know what is really exciting? We just released, our DVD, which is called,Roadrage, which in stores now. It really is. It is in all FYE Stores. It is done; we are selling it here in the FYE Store. We just started selling them two shows ago. It is a beautiful package. It is so exciting. The packaging is incredible. It is a double disc set. It is "Angel Down" Limited Edition. It has got the Angel Down CD along with this hour long DVD. In which I made, and called,Roadrage. I have been working on it for a year. It has five live songs from the Guns N' Roses Tour, which is by far the highest quality footage that I have ever released. It is multi -camera angled, pro-tool sound production. We didn't over-dub anything. It has made the tracks that are there sound incredible in your living room. It has got a poster in it. It is like a triple fold out incredible package. We are selling them at the shows, every Poison show. By special permission of Mr. Bobby Dall. He said,” Go for it", which was very nice of him. Also, you can go right now today to FYE. That is an FYE Exclusive. That is the store that is carrying it. If anyone out there digs Oh Say Can You Scream or Road Kill by Skid Row the old VHS tapes, you will definitely enjoy Roadrage. It is a lot of fun. "

It is also released in the UK on July 21st? Is that correct

Bach: "Yes, and it is also coming out in Vinyl in the UK on a double sided color picture disc record with a double gatefold sleeve. This is so beautiful. The artwork is just completely huge on the cover. That is really exciting. I think it is ironic in 2008 that vinyl is one facet of music that is actually expanding in sales. I never thought, I would be talking about the Angel Down record. But the UK Record Company was totally into putting it out on vinyl. So I am very excited about that. It is a lot of fun."

You can't beat the warm sound that transpires from a vinyl record that sometimes gets lost on CD's.

Bach: "Yes, and someday when I go home, which is not going to be any time soon, but I am going to sit down in the living room and put the record on of "Angel Down" just to hear the analog sound of that music. It is going to be great. Also, you are the first one I am telling this to. We just got news yesterday that we are going to be headlining Canada in September and doing some headlining USA East Coast dates to end the whole tour, after we are done with Poison on August 29th. We are going to aim the bus North. We are going to do at least ten more shows on this tour, going up through Canada, and then ending up around New Jersey where I live, and do some gigs on the East coast of America. That just happened yesterday, you are the first person to know that. "

Sebastian, that is exciting news, I know the East Coast has always been a huge market for you. Let's discuss the making of Angel Down. Tell me a little bit about the writing process for it. Did you have to go back in the mindset of the 90's and Slave To The Grind, or did you just write from the perspective of where you are at today with a more modern sound?

Bach: "I don't ever say to myself that I have to put my mindset in 1991. All I try to do is make something that I really like myself. I didn't make it so tweaked out and I spend so much time on it that it makes the hair of my arms stand-up. That is how I know I am done. That is what I did on the first Skid Row record. That is what I did on Slave To The Grind. That is what I did on Angel Down. That is what I always do. I don't care who writes it. It doesn’t matter to me who am writing it. To me it just matters what is written and we capture on tape. It is about the song, not the person who is writing it. It is about what is written. I have played with many different people in my solo band since 2000. All of them have had great songs, and if somebody has a great song I will remember it. With the iPod, all of my demos are in there and I can easily listen to anything. I am always making demos. When I got 13 songs done, then I am done."

What was it like working with Axl Rose?

Bach: "It is an honor. It is just mind-blowing that he would lend his pipes to my solo record. It is just such a great collaboration. I have become a bit of a country fan, in the last couple of years. I have collected Willie Nelson records, Neil Young just something different. They are always collaborating with different singers like BOB DYLAN with JOHNNY CASH, or WILLIE NELSON with AEROSMITH or KID ROCK. The review in Rolling Stone really puzzled me on "Angel Down'. They gave it three stars, which was awesome. They gave "Sub Human Race" three stars. They gave "Slave To The Grind" three stars. So at least they are consistent. But they kind of wrote this review that was kind of hitting me against Axl saying like who sounds better on the track. I was so surprised at that. We are not trying to compete against each other. We were just trying to make a great fuckin record. Axl, to me is the greatest singer that ever sang heavy rock. If Axl wants to contribute to the music, to me having Axl Rose singing on my record makes it a better record. I could' believe when I read that review saying that he is stealing the spot light from me. I am going,” Wait a minute, I fuckin put him on there! It was my fuckin idea. Should I've have said, 'No thank you Axl. I don't want you to upstage me.' What kind of bullshit thinking is that? I don't think like that. I am trying to give you the rock fans the best record I can. To me having Axl Rose on your fuckin album makes it a better fuckin album."

I had the opportunity to see you on the GN'R tour, and in my opinion, I thought both of you complimented each other well. It was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Bach: "It is not about upstaging. It is about collaborating. To me it is very obvious that he is very cautious of what he puts out. For me to have him on the record is such an honor. You would think that Rolling Stone would say, 'Thank you very much for giving us a fuckin' CD, with Axl Rose on it.' Isn't that the point of it? Oh and you are welcome by the way. I can't bitch about the reviews because Angel Down is one of the best-reviewed pieces of music that I have ever put out. There is no disputing that, so that is a good feeling."

Do you have any special songs that you really enjoy off of "Angel Down"?

Bach: "I really like 'Stuck Inside', because it has such a crushing groove. To have Axl come in on the middle part and kick it into high gear sounds so demonic, and evil on the end of that song. To hear him and me sing together, as a fan of Axl blows me away. I am a fan too, I am a rock fan. I can listen to myself objectively because I am always on TV. So I sit back and say, 'Oh that is me that is weird.' (Laughter) When I am listening to the CD, I am always a fan of Skid Row and Guns N' Roses and to hear my voice with Axl as a fan is so fuckin cool. I like it."

Let's take a moment to discuss Reality Television. You were on the VH1 show Super Group. Do you feel that sometimes reality shows portray just what they want you to see, and not the real outcome of events?

Bach: "It is select. When you see the end of the show like in the credits of Super Group, and you see story editor. I don't even know who that person is. I didn't know there was suppose to be a story. I thought that show was like going to be like American Chopper, which is like, OK we make motorbikes for a living, film us making a motorbike. I know how to rock. I don't need some business people from LA or some clothing maker, or some fuckin hair stylist. I don't need that. (Laughter) I know how to make my hair look cool, I know what clothes to wear, and I know what fuckin songs to see. I know what to say in interviews. I don't need people to coach me before interviews. I am like wait a minute; if you want to say something you do the fuckin interview. This is my interview. I think it was a funny show to see like real rock and rollers against what happens for rock and roll in 2008. The way I rock, Skid Row never had a stylist or someone to pick out clothes for us, or tell us what to say in the interviews. It was us man, all us good and bad."

Skid Row hailed from the Jersey area, where rock was about the music and not the outfit and eyeliner just jeans and rock and roll. You don't pretend to be anything that you are not.

Bach:" I look at music as a form of self-expression. Like my Dad was a famous painter. He didn't ask people 'What should I paint?' He fuckin' painted it, it was his painting." (Laughter)

Is there anything else that you want to say about the tour and "Angel Down"?

Bach: "We are going to be touring until September. Then we have a break. It is a big chunk of touring and we love it but you start to lose your mind. (Laughter) After September, we will go re-charge our batteries. There is talk of possibly some UK touring and South America, Brazil and Argentina and Mexico, we always go there every year. After all that around Christmas time, we will start to wok on the next record. Because I own my own label, and I consulted with myself and had a meeting with myself. I said, 'Can I do a new record this year?' I got in touch with myself as the CEO of my company and I said 'Yes I can.'
