MEGADETH Drummer Shawn Drover Comments On Affliction Banned Event

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has issued the following update:
"The Affliction Banned event (July 19th at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA) was something I really enjoyed. It was nice to see my band-mates and crew again - All of us were upbeat and in good spirit's, which is always a good thing. Observing the matches first-hand was a new one for me, as I am not well versed in the sport, but I did find it quite interesting. Something that I thought was great was how well these dude's got along away from the ring. My first thought on this was, if somebody was to kick my head in and rip my guts out, I probably would not want to enjoy a nice dinner, etc. with them. However, upon talking a while with Josh Barnett (who had a great match by the way) he made me understand the sport a bit more. Josh is a massive fan of heavy metal, and showed me a BOLT THROWER logo on his shorts (I am a fan of them myself - For Victory RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!) once I saw that, I knew I had made a new friend Anyways, a good time was had by all. Now, some of you may ask, what's next??? Ahhhhhhh, if you only knew."Check out the latest photos posted to the Megadeth.com Gallery from the Affliction Banned event. Find live shots here and a few very cool behind the scenes shots with Renato "Babalu" Sobral and Josh "The Babyfaced Assassin" Barnett here. Photos will also be posted to Megadeth's official MySpace page! Megadeth performed three songs at Affliction Banned held in Anaheim, CA this past Saturday, July 19th. Check the reviews here.
