Dutch thrash metallers DEAD HEAD have issued the following studio update:

"Recording is now entering the mixing stages. We still need to record some leads and vocals, but the rest of the music for Depression Tank is already done and our mixer Robert Slump has already provided some initial mixes for us to judge. So far, everything is sounding very promising. I will try to put some short music clips online later on. The album will contain eleven songs, including the rerecorded version of 'Pesticide'."

As previously reported, Dead Head's forthcoming effort is the follow-up to 2005's Haatland. Returning to a more vicious rabid thrash approach, the new album Depression Tank (working title) is expected to be released in the fall via Displeased Records.

In other news, the band's 1999 thrash classic Kill Division will be reissued by Displeased Records around the same time, with bonus live material.
