August 14, 2008, 16 years ago
Erie, PA hard rockers DIRTY LOOKSh have sent BW&BK; the following update:
"With the band having been relatively dormant for years, really since the late 9'0s, suddenly singer/guitarist Henrik Ostergaard and various ex and new members of the band have been putting out a slew of new material. Already, Dirty Looks has released two discs of new material this year, Gasoline and Superdeluxe. Both discs are available at CDBaby.com and through the band's website at www.dirtylooksmusic.com .Now, Ostergaard's own label plans to repackage and re-release Superdeluxe and sell it through his forthcoming Sticky Records website along in a bundle that will include a t-shirt and sticker.
Also, Perris Records will release yet another disc of new material called California Free Ride in September. The disc is being mixed and mastered by BANG TANGO/BEAUTIFUL CREATURES guitarist Anthony Focx.
If that's not enough, Dirty Looks will be making its triumphant return to the stage on Sunday, October 5th at the Warner Theater in Erie, PA. Tickets are on sale now and the show will be recorded for a live CD with an expected October 31st release date.
Members of the classic Dirty Looks line-up have been involved with the recordings including guitarist Paul Lidel (who currently resides in Austin, TX and is a member of ADRENALINE FACTOR) and bassist Jack Pyers (whose old band HARPO is scheduled to open the Warner Theater show). No word yet on who exactly will accompany Ostergaard for the upcoming live date. No other dates have been scheduled thus far."
