LAWNMOWER DETH - One-Off Show With BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Confirmed, Plans For Warm-Up Gigs Scrapped
August 15, 2008, 16 years ago
Concorde Faceripper (aka Steve Nesfield), guitarist for British thrash/metal/comedy act LAWNMOWER DETH, has issued the following update:
"Hello once again. To those of you who have been asking us to do a warm up gig, well we certainly gave it a good try !
I even managed to book a couple of potential dates with those fine people at the Pitz in Milton Keynes (scene of much Lawnmower related stupidity in days of old), however no matter how hard we tried, we just couldn't get a date where everyone was free at the same time.
Sadly then, this means there will not be a warm up gig prior to the BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE date in November.
Bit of a shame really, because we've been rehearsing with Paddy and we would have liked to have done the warm up gig to get him back on stage with us. He's on his holidays when we do the Bullet gig, so he can't join in the fun of that evening. The warm up would have been ideal, and we could have pretended to be IRON MAIDEN with 3 guitarists !
A big thanks to Paul at the Pitz for his assistance in trying to help us get the warm up arranged, top fella !
So back to rehearsals for us.. we've got Kev and Pete joining us at the end of the month, so this will be the first time we've all been together since the final gig with the SPUDMONSTERS all those years ago.
We will also know a bit more about how much we've bitten off by agreeing to do this reunion!"
Cheers,
Steve
