According to Bexleytimes.co.uk, the company who auctioned the first guitar JIMI HENDRIX set fire to on stage are asking people to rummage through their attics to find another hidden gem.

James Wilkinson, 43, from Bexley, is the co-founder of Fame Bureau, the Soho-based company which brought the legendary lost guitar to auction, at the Idea Generation Gallery, Bethnal Green, last Thursday, for £280,000.

Mr Wilkinson is keeping hush about what is in their next big auction in November, but he is asking people to get in touch if they find they have been hoarding precious memorabilia.

He said: "We are looking for people who have Keith Richard's underpants to get in touch and we would like to find out the story of why they got there.

"We get really excited about the auctions. We are absolutely as passionate about what comes in as those who buy the items."

The lucky buyer of Hendrix's guitar was 51-year-old American collector, Daniel Boucher, who flew over from Massachusetts especially for the auction.

He admitted he would have paid more for the 1965 Fender Stratocaster.

He said: "I've got myself a bargain. The credit crunch worked for me.

"I am going to play it, I hope some of it rubs off on me."
