According to NME.com, METALLICA have beaten GLASVEGAS to the top of the UK albums chart.
The rockers' ninth studio album Death Magnetic entered at the top spot ahead of the Scottish band's self-titled debut, which debuted at Number Two.
Glasvegas' James Allan told NME.com he never expected to beat Metallica in the album chart battle. The original release date for Death Magnetic was last Friday (September 12). However, the Metallica album was released early, with shops selling copies on Wednesday (September 10).
