OPETH - An Orchid Blooms In Philly; Live Photos Available
September 18, 2008, 16 years ago
Mikael Åkerfeldt (playing tribute to BLACK SABBATH, in vintage Vertigo T-shirt) and his merry band of Swedes invaded the Trocadero in Philadelphia, on September 17th. Blasting music from the speakers and his barely audible droll, self-deprecating sense of humour between tracks ("Two songs and I feel like an old man: drenched in sweat and my ass is itchy."), Opeth opened with 'Heir Apparent', aired 'Night And The Silent Water' and 'Deliverance' before closing with the one-two old school punch of ' Demon Of The Fall' and 'The Drapery Falls'.
