HELIX Announce Canadian West Coast Tour Dates
September 28, 2008, 16 years ago
HELIX frontman Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:
This week the new Helix CD A Heavy Mental Christmas was officially released. Fans have already been supporting us on this one by buying advance copies, so as soon as we got it in our hands the envelopes were being filled and the CD sent out to fans all over the world. Response has been terrific, which is amazing considering it is only September, and we’re expecting big things from this disc, especially with it being front racked in Wal-Mart stores across Canada.
The dates are also coming in fast and steady and it looks like we’re going to be busy right up until the end of the year. Next week I’m in Halifax being filmed for a small part in the new upcoming Trailer Park Boy’s movie (still un-named) and then on the next weekend we’re in Hamilton and Whitby. On October 30th we’ll be in Toronto at The Phoenix for Carl Dixon’s (ex-CONEY HATCH) benefit concert, followed two days later by a gig in my hometown of Kitchener at Molly Blooms. By the looks of things, our western tour will kick off in Kenora, Ontario the weekend of November 15th. Feldman is working on putting us in either Winnipeg/Brandon the next night and then picking up again the next week, either in Regina or Saskatoon on the Tuesday. After that, it looks like the dates will be:
November
19 - Medicine Hat, AB20 - St. Albert/Edmonton, AB
21 - Grand Prairie, AB
22 - Prince George, BC
25 - Maple Ridge, BC
26 - Vancouver, BC
27 - Vernon, BC
28 - Lethbridge, AB
29 - Calgary, AB
More dates could be added to this tour and we’re working on it as we speak!"
