Norwegian death metal veterans BLOOD RED THRONE have announced that after receiving the green light (from its current record label Earache Records) to enter the recording studio, all live activities for the remainder of 2008 are cancelled to solely focus on finish the material for their fifth studio album. The band plan to record the new album in the first weeks of 2009. The new studio album will be followed up with extensive touring and a special release is in the planning as the band celebrates its 10th year anniversary in 2009.

Due to personal reasons, the band was forced to pull out of several summer festivals in 2008 but promise to come back stronger than ever in 2009!

Album progress and details will be posted accordingly on the band's MySpace page
