HallOfMetal.com recently caught up with DREAM EVIL guitarist Fredrik Nordström to discuss the band's new DVD, Gold Medal In Metal. The following is an excerpt from the interview:
HoM: When during the recording of The Book Of Heavy Metal Gus G (guitars) and Snowy Shaw (drums) left the band, and the vocalist Niklas also left, do you feel it was the end of Dream Evil? What did you do to continue with the band?
Fredrik: "Gus G left the band during the recording of The Book Of Heavy Metal because he didn’t like some things, he wanted to tour more and it was impossible. He want to dedicate his time to FIREWIND, but we were still friends. The bass player left the band too and then Niklas left the band. I was eight months searching for a new vocalist and for a new bass player but it was impossible actually. So we think about leaving the band until Niklas came back to the band. He can’t tour so much because of family and things like these, and we know that maybe one day he will leave the band again, I don’t know, he never stays too long in a project. But yes, I felt it was the end of the band, of course!"
