AMON AMARTH Confirmed For Wacken Open Air 2009

Sweden's AMON AMARTH have been officially confirmed to play the Wacken Open Air in 2009.
Organizers state: "Dear Metalheads,
We finally managed it! Amon Amarth will once again make their fans headbang at the Wacken Open Air 2009.
The band which by now is seen as the spearhead of the Viking Metal scene has just made it to # 6 of the German album charts with their current album, Twilight Of The Thundergod, and also reached high chart positions in many other European countries. At the Wacken Open Air they will present a very special show – get ready for an enormous stage setting with viking boat and viking performances!
We can’t wait!"
Wacken Open Air 2009 is scheduled to take place from July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
Other acts confirmed for the festival are IN EXTREMO, CATHEDRAL, EINHERJER and MACHINE HEAD.
