According to the Deep Purple Appreciation Society, guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore (ex-DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW) and his partner Candice Night tied the knot on October 5th.

Night comments: "October, my favorite month, has arrived. The time for the trees to change into their colors of fire...for the leaves to drop like snowflakes as we walk through the woods. The autumn breezes are breathing cooler air onto us when we step into the outdoors. Chipmunks and squirrels are collecting the acorns and nuts that fall to the ground. Its a very active time in the gardens outside Minstrel Hall. Not only is October the month of my favorite holiday, Halloween, but I have some incredible news. I promised you I would tell you if ever Ritchie and I were to walk down the aisle. Well, last weekend, we took those steps. After 19 years together we finally decided to put a halt to our hectic schedules and take some time for us to say those magical vows."

BLACKMORE'S NIGHT's new album, Secret Voyage, is currently at #6 on the Billboard New Age charts - it's the 12th week the album has been in the top ten.

The band is led by legendary Ritchie Blackmore (ex-DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW) and Candice Night. Other members of the band include Bard David of Larchmont (keyboards/vocals), Earl Grey of Chimay (bass/rhythm guitar/vocals), Squire Malcolm of Lumley (percussionist), and Gypsy Rose (violin/vocals).

“With Blackmore’s Night,” says Blackmore in a recent press release, “we have the creative freedom to play any style of music we want. We can play folk, rock, ballads, instrumentals, or tavern songs. I couldn't do that in Deep Purple. Now I feel as if I'm not in a box anymore.”

Blackmore’s Night recently released a video for the song 'Locked Within The Crystal Ball'. View below:
