FROST - Experiments In Mass Appeal Out December 8th
October 27, 2008, 16 years ago
Experiments In Mass Appeal, the new album from contemporary progressive outfit FROST, was written over the course of 2007 and 2008.
Following on from Frost's 2006, debut album Milliontown, Experiments In Mass Appeal is atmospherically dense, varied and, in parts, a highly unusual album.
This time around Frost is a 5-piece group: Jem Godfrey (Frost's composer/keyboardist/producer), John Jowitt (bass), Andy Edwards (drums), Declan Burke (guitar), John Mitchell (guitar).
After receiving criticisms for his vocals on Milliontown, Jem decided to bring in Declan Burke on vocals and guitar to boost the band on their new album.
For Experiments In Mass Appeal, Jem Godfrey wrote about 25 songs, initially not even for Frost and these have been honed down to 9 for the finished album.
The tracklisting: 'Experiments In Mass Appeal', 'Welcome To Nowhere', 'Pocket Sun', 'Saline', 'Dear Dead Days', 'Falling Down', 'You/I', 'Toys', 'Wonderland'.
