According to Katie Hasty from Billboard, AC/DC's back catalog has also benefited from the spectacular No. 1 debut of the Australian rock band's first album in eight years.

While Black Ice sold 784,000 copies in the week ended October 26, its older titles moved a total of 92,000 copies.

Back In Black, the band's massive 1980 album, sold 21,000 copies last week, up from 9,000 the week before, Nielsen SoundScan said Wednesday. The album is the fifth-biggest seller of all time in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Assn. of America, with sales to date of 22 million copies. High Voltage, the band's 1976 US debut, rocketed to 11,000 copies from 4,000.

These albums are not eligible for inclusion on the Billboard 200, which details only current releases. But on Billboard's Comprehensive chart, which includes both current and catalog titles, Back In Black ranked at No. 13, and High Voltage at No. 51.
