Manufacturing Snafu Delays EXALTED PILEDRIVER's Metal Manifesto
October 31, 2008, 16 years ago
Canadian heavy metal cult band THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER are delaying release of the CD format of their first album in 22 years titled Metal Manifesto through Northern Storm Records until November 18th, 2008 due to problems encountered in the manufacturing process of the album.
Anyone that had pre-ordered the CD format of the album before the original date of October 31st, 2008 will also receive a special CDr from the band comprising of 6 songs from the album along with 7 other exclusive tracks from The Exalted One's vault to make up for the delay in receiving their special products. Downloadable versions of the album from online outlets such as iTunes, the Northern Storm site, etc. will not be affected. When asked why they went to such efforts for a simple shipping delay of a few weeks on the CDs, the pointy-hatted Pile Driver retorted, "Because these hardcore Pile-fans da goods! They're why this album or this band even exists! They showed their advance support only to get pooched by some CD plant somewhere... it's not their fault, and we feel they should be rewarded for their support and patience. It's just a lil' disc that's just for them, something twisted and unique from us to them to thank them for their patience." Garsh... aren't they just the swellest bunch of half-dead musical zombie-morphs you ever saw? Must be from Canuckistan."
Northern Storm Records has also set up a two different pre-orders for Metal Manifesto: The first pre-order is the standard CD/DVD combo (the DVD chronicles the band's tour of Europe in April of 2007) and the second pre-order (limited to 250 copies) comes with two The Exalted Piledriver guitar picks, an autographed 8" x 10" poster and a handwritten letter from The Exalted One himself.
