AC/DC - Auckland Booze Ban Report False
November 12, 2015, 9 years ago
Contrary to recent media reports concerning AC/DC’s upcoming concert at Western Springs Stadium on December 15th in Auckland, New Zealand, alcohol will be available for purchase inside the Stadium, the concert’s promoters and venue owner confirm via the Voxy website.
A liquor ban will, however, be enforced as usual in the surrounding areas outside to the Stadium. The practice of liquor bans being approved and enforced in surrounding streets is consistent with liquor management plans that have been applied to previous Auckland Stadiums concert events, and full bar services have always been available within the venue itself, at all times, Auckland Stadiums confirms.
On November 3rd, AC/DC kicked off their Australian tour in Sydney, the band's first concert at home in five years at ANZ Stadium. According to The Australian, it was a show as dramatic as their music including scantily clad women, red devil horns and the reddest devil of them all - axe maestro Angus Young.
