AC/DC Release "Rock The Blues Away" Video

AC/DC have released the second video from their latest album, Rock Or Bust. The video was shot in Los Angeles in February after the band performed for the first time at this year’s Grammy Awards. The clip was directed by the band's longtime collaborator David Mallet and features an enthusiastic crowd of real fans who came from all over the world just to be part of this historic taping. Rock Or Bust was released on December 2nd and immediately topped sales charts around the globe. The album has thus far sold nearly 2.8 million copies worldwide.

A 40th anniversary tour isn’t something that comes around often in modern music, but when it does, those touring bands tend to celebrate in style. That’s exactly what AC/DC will do on its upcoming Rock Or Bust World Tour, which hits North America for 13 dates in August and September.

According to Forbes, the band’s late-summer trip through the US and Canada will be the first time the ageless rockers have performed stateside since April of 2010. Nearly five years ago, AC/DC was wrapping the third North American leg of the Black Ice World Tour, which ran 168 shows over two years and netted more than $441 million when all was said and done. The fourth highest-grossing tour of all-time, the Black Ice World Tour may meet its match when AC/DC announces more global dates in the coming months.

Until that time, however, Angus Young and co. will see considerable ticket prices on the secondary market over their 13-show run in North America this summer. The average price for AC/DC tickets on TiqIQ is $255.82, which rivals that of other touring rock icons like Fleetwood Mac and The Who.

AC/DC’s most expensive date of its upcoming North American leg will be at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on September 20th. That show currently owns an average secondary price of $573.37, which is 124.1% more expensive than the tour average, and the get-in price starts at $168. BC Place in Vancouver will be the band’s second top-priced show on September 22nd, with tickets averaging at $561.23 and get-in price listed at $130 on the secondary market.

AC/DC’s North American dates kick off on August 22nd in Foxborough, MA at Gillette Stadium and run through September 28th in Los Angeles, CA at Dodger Stadium (see below for full list of dates). Tickets available via Ticketmaster. Previously announced European dates on the Rock or Bust World Tour begin May 5th in Holland and run through late July.

The North American Tour date announcement comes days after AC/DC delivered an explosive performance of their current single “Rock Or Bust” and their classic “Highway To Hell” which kicked off the 57th annual Grammy Awards. This marked the Grammy winning band’s first time performing on US television in over 14 years. AC/DC are also confirmed to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 10th and 17th. Chris Slade will be on drums for the upcoming Rock Or Bust World Tour.

AC/DC last toured the world from 2008-2010 with the Black Ice World Tour, which had the band playing to over 5 million fans in 108 cities in over 28 countries. The Black Ice World Tour earned AC/DC a Pollstar Award for Major Tour of the Year in 2010.
