AC/DC - Some Of Brian Johnson’s Earliest Recordings To See Light Of Day?
July 2, 2016, 8 years ago
Prior to joining AC/DC, singer Brian Johnson was part of a number of bands in the north east of England which had varying degrees of success, the most famous being Geordie. But a more “middle-of-the-road” side of the AC/DC legend can be heard in the form of the The Jasper Hart Band, which was formed in mid-1970 and played, with some success, in the working men’s clubs of the North East.
“In 1971, The Jasper Hart Band recorded three original tracks with a view to be coming pop stars,” guitarist Ken Brown remarks on Facebook. “Snippets of these tracks were put online and have generated some interest from AC/DC fans andI've been asked if the complete recordings are available. If enough interest is shown, a CD will be made available with the original recordings, together with the same songs recorded by the present lineup of The Jasper Hart Band band (which also featured Fred Smith and Tom Hill), along with the leaflet containing tales and anecdotes of Brian's time with the band, with contributions by the songwriter, the recording engineer and band members. Be made available when I have some idea of how many copies would be required.”
