AC/DC guitarist Angus Young spoke with Entertainment Weekly's Kyle Anderson about the band's new album, Rock Or Bust, which will be released December 2nd. Angus also discusses continuing on without founding guitarist Malcolm Young after he was diagnosed with dementia; Angus' nephew Stevie Young, who had previously filled in for Malcolm in 1988, once again replacing him; drummer Phil Rudd's legal issues; and more.
In the following excerpt, Angus explains the motivation behind the album title, Rock Or Bust:
"It probably sums us up as a band. We started with that attitude. It was a go-for-broke attitude. When we kicked off as a band—Malcolm who formed the band, it was his idea, his baby. At that time, especially in the ’70s, mainstream music had kind of gone soft. They had that hard ’60s time, into the late ’60s. I mean there were still some bands making rock: Zeppelin, the Who, the Stones. But they had grown big, so you were hardly seeing them. And radio had gone very mellow. So doing the rock music again, it was a kind of go-for-broke attitude. That was always how we approached it."Read the full interview at this location.

AC/DC have released the video for the title track of their new album, Rock Or Bust, the band’s first studio album in six years. Shot in London in early October, the video was directed by longtime collaborator David Mallet and features diehard fans from around the globe surrounding their heroes performing the song in an intimate club environment.
Rock Or Bust was produced by Brendan O’Brien, with Mike Fraser mixing at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC. The album’s cover art uses a developed 3-D lenticular technology, which gives the illusion of the band’s iconic logo exploding as the album is moved. Rock or Bust is the band’s first album of new material in six years, following their immensely successful Black Ice, which entered charts at #1 in 31 countries and has sold nearly 8 million copies worldwide.
