AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson and his Fifty Plus Racing team continue to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s’ Association through the Highway To Help campaign. The disease hits close to home for Johnson as founding AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young is diagnosed with dementia and is being treated in an aged care facility in Sydney.

"He was the man that started the band, he was the one that was behind AC/DC. He was our spiritual leader. He was our spitfire," Johnson tells Newschannel9.com.

 

 

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, degenerative illness that attacks brain cells and results in a loss of memory, thinking, language skills, and behavioral changes.
