ADELITAS WAY Release Powerful Single, Video “Ready For War (Pray For Peace)”

Edgy Las Vegas Hard Rock band Adelitas Way has released a powerful new single and lyric video for “Ready For War (Pray For Peace)” ahead of upcoming tour dates with Scott Stapp.  The single is off to a fast start at Active Rock Radio, with the song already in medium rotation at SiriusXM Octane, an early add at Music Choice Rock channel and a #1 Debut on Slacker Radio’s “New Rock Now” channel.  The song moves to #45 this week on the Mediabase Rock Chart.

The band’s Rick DeJesus states, “‘Ready For War (Pray For Peace)’ is the state of mind that our soldiers, our officers, and even as a father who must protect a household that their family is in. I want love and peace in this world, but we must be prepared to protect what is ours from the evil that doesn’t want a world of love and peace. That’s what we’re trying to convey with this song and video.”

The video stays close to the song’s theme, opening with a classic photo of a soldier holding a child while the mother looks on. As the clip continues to roll through newspaper type artwork which spools out over hard driving guitar licks, we eventually get to the heart of the song, with vocalist DeJesus singing, “I don’t want to do this again / I pray for peace / But I’m ready for war / I pray for change / But I’ve been here before.” The visuals tie into the lyrics with scenes of fighter planes, bombers, soldiers marching and destruction playing out.

The band is currently in the studio finishing up their as yet untitled 5th studio album, which will be released in 2017.  Adelitas Way just completed a sold-out tour kickoff show in their hometown of Las Vegas at the Sayers Club.  The band will be headed to the East Coast in November for headlining club dates before joining Scott Stapp for shows in December.  Additional tour dates will be announced soon.
