AEROSMITH - STEVEN TYLER On JOE PERRY's Book: "I'm Glad There's No References To My Penis"

Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler recently chatted with South African television station News 24 about bandmate and guitarist Joe Perry's new autobiography, Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith. A portion of his comments reads as follows:

"It's well written; it's a beautiful book. I'm happy for him that he got this off his chest. I'm glad there's no references to my penis, because he would have lost." Tyler's complete remarks can he heard in the video below.

Joe Perry is staging a social media contest whereby one lucky winner will receive a personal, five-minute phone call from the Aerosmith co-founder.  To qualify for the contest, entrants need to pose holding their copy of Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith, show where they display it in your home, lean it against their favorite guitar, let their pet curl up with it for a nap, really…anything goes (but keep it clean, please).  Other prizes include two second prize winners will each get a Rock Your World t-shirt and a bottle of Rock Your World sauce signed by Joe, while three third prize winners will each get a bottle of Rock Your World sauce also signed by Joe.  Snap a quick photo and post it on Twitter (@JoePerry) or Instagram (@JoePerryOfficial), be sure to hashtag #JoePerryROCKS between Tuesday, November 25th and Friday, December 5th at midnight (ET) for a chance to win.  Winners will be chosen at random and announced the week of December 8th.

Since its October 7th release, Joe Perry’s Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith  spent its initial two weeks on the prestigious New York Times bestseller list. Rocks entered the charts at #8 and remained in the Top Ten (#10) in week two.  In the book, Perry shares - with total candor and without apology - what life is like as the lead guitarist and co-head writer of Aerosmith.

Full of humor, insight, and brutal honesty about life in and out of one of the biggest bands in the world, Rocks is the ultimate rock-and-roll epic. In Perry’s own words, it tells the whole story: "the loner’s story, the band’s story, the recovery story, the cult story, the love story, the success story, the failure story, the rebirth story, the re-destruction story, and the post-destructive rebirth story."
