AFFIANCE To Release Gaia EP In March
February 5, 2016, 8 years ago
For Affiance, it's all about their fans. The band will release their seven-song, crowdfunded EP Gaia on March 11th. To celebrate the release and as a special token of their enormous sense of gratitude towards their core local fanbase, Affiance will play their first-ever, free hometown show at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio on the EP release date. It's also the first time they've played Cleveland in well over a year. It is sure to be one of those "can't miss" shows that fans talk about for months, if not years, to come.
The band will follow the Cleveland record release show with a performance at The Summit in Columbus on March 12th, also featuring Monuments.
"Since we crowdfunded this new EP, we wanted to offer our fans a free hometown show as a 'thank you' for the incredible support we received," the band said. "We cannot wait to play these home shows! It's been since fall of 2014 since we played in Cleveland."
Affiance has shared "PRSVR," the first song from the EP.
Pre-order bundles for Gaia are available now at this location. Fans who pre-order will receive an "instant grat" download of "PRSVR."
Affiance are part of the new breed of melodic metal bands that have been propelling the genre forward in this decade. They have a critical connection to their fans, who instantly responded to their Indiegogo campaign, helping the band to reach its campaign goal quickly.
Following the success of the crowdfunded campaign, the band solidified its relationship with Outerloop Management, which has a rich history in helping developing artists and those who have successfully looked to crowdfunding and independence, such as Misery Signals and Ice Nine Kills, in their careers.
Outerloop president and Affiance Mike Mowery states, "I met Dennis three years ago when the band was touring with Killswitch Engage. He had the right drive and attitude, but I felt as if their other professional relationships at the time were holding them back. We discussed crowdfunding, and if it was successful, what else we thought we could do from there. They held up their end of the bargain and now it's time for me to uphold mine. Outerloop has a proven history of helping artists flourish in an industry full of opportunists. I'm incredibly excited about helping Affiance continue to serve their existing fanbase while simultaneously expanding to a new one."
