After being reported missing on July 18th, former After The Burial guitarist/founder Justin Lowe has been found dead.
New Richmond News reports: St. Croix County authorities on Wednesday released the identity of the man whose body was found near the St. Croix River. He was identified as Justin A. Lowe, 32, of Vadnais Heights, Minn., according to St. Croix County Chief Deputy Scott Knudson.
Lowe's body was discovered by a hiker early Tuesday beneath the Arcola High Bridge connecting Minnesota and the town of Somerset. Knudson said Lowe had been reported missing July 18th in Washington County, Minn.
Foul play was not suspected, Knudson said, adding that the cause of death was consistent with a fall. Lowe's vehicle was found at a parking lot on the Minnesota side of the bridge, which Knudson said was the focus of a search on July 18th.
Knudson said authorities from St. Croix and Washington counties, along with members of the US Coast Guard and National Parks services were all deployed in the search effort.
Lowe recently quit After The Burial and posted a long message on his Facebook page. A week after his disappearance, members of his former band issued a statement addressing his absence and apparent mental-health issues. Find the statement at this location.
