Shock rock legend Alice Cooper spoke briefly with NBC affiliate KPNX 12 News about his pre-show knife throwing ritual and his recent potentially life threatening car accident. Check out the interview below.

Alice Cooper portrays King Herod in NBC's live performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, airing on NBC on Easter Sunday, April 1st.

"Wouldn't you know that they would give me the part of the villain?" the singer tells Rolling Stone with a hint of amusement in his voice. "When this opportunity came across, they said, 'Hey, why don't you be in Jesus Christ Superstar?' And I said, 'I'm either Judas or Herod, right?' And they said, 'Herod.' I said, 'OK, I knew that was coming.'" He laughs.
