AMORPHIS Announce Live Web-Chat With Fans

Finnish masters of melancholic progressive metal, Amorphis, will partake in a live Q&A with fans next Thursday, September 3rd. Fans can visit YouTube.com/Amorphis that day at 9 AM, PDT / Noon, EDT / 6 PM, CEST to participate in the chat, or submit their questions via the wall of the band's Facebook page by Wednesday, September 2nd.

In anticipation of their upcoming record Under The Red Cloud (out worldwide September 4th via Nuclear Blast), Amorphis release their second single, including a video clip for the song “Sacrifice”.

Guitar player Esa Holopainen commented:“'Sacrifice' is the second release from Under The Red Cloud and it presents a bit more familiar Amorphis with catchy choruses and melodic touch. The video for 'Sacrifice' was shot in Helsinki and Hämeenlinna and follows the lyrical themes of the song. Like 'Death Of A King', 'Sacrifice' was pretty much Jens' decision as a single track. The band finds it too difficult to pick up any single tracks. Haha!“

“The album is titled Under The Red Cloud and the artwork is done by Valnoir Mortasonge,“ Esa Holopainen recently stated. “Valnoir is well known from his works for Laibach, Paradise Lost, Watain, Behemoth and many more. It was a great pleasure to work with him as he caught the lyrical topics really well. Colors and details describe the music perfectly.“

Esa comments: “Under The Red Cloud is produced by Jens Bogren who did amazing job with the album. There's a lot's of elements in the songs but every note and element is in perfect harmony so that the result is fucking heavy and melodic. All I can say is that Under The Red Cloud will be in my personal Top 3 Amorphis albums that we've ever done.“

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their classic Tales From The Thousand Lakes, Amorphis will play at some European festivals this summer. In September, they will start touring in support of their upcoming release. Find the band’s live itinerary at this location.
