New Jersey-based guitar shredder, Angel Vivaldi, has launched a mini documentary exclusively on Metal Injection. Entitled The Silent Humming Of Highways: A Tour Rockumentary, the three part series showcases the ups, downs and everything in between of being a DIY musician on the road. Part 1 is below:

Vivaldi's newly recorded version of his 2009 EP, The Speed Of Dark: Revisited, is due out on August 26th - just in time for his Operation Domination co-headlining run with fellow ax-grinder Gus G., which kicks off on August 31st in New York City and will run throughout September.

The Speed Of Dark: Revisited is now available for preorder through Vivaldi's webshop. The preorder will include bundles consisting of a signed CD, poster, digital download and/or exclusively designed t-shirt.

Gus G. states: "I'm very excited to return to the US this fall to finally hit more markets and play for the fans that were left out on my recent spring mini-tour. Teaming up with a talented player like Angel Vivaldi seemed like a great opportunity. We're both stoked to bring the Operation Domination tour to the American audiences and we will be performing our own individual sets, but also collaborating on stage together as well. We will have a great band with us that features James Paul Luna (Holy Grail) on vocals, Alex Bent (ex-Battlecross, Testament) on drums and Jake Skylyr on bass.
