Next to the continuous live-offensive, Asphyx have now also commenced working on a next studio album, to follow up 2012’s Deathhammer at long last in 2016.
Vocalist Marvin van Drunen checked in with the following comment about the Latin American tour as well as on the status of the work on the new material: "Asphyx is proud and very pleased to announce their first tour on the South American continent. As many of our long term die-hard and dedicated followers come from there and were begging us to fly over this is thus for us like a dream come true that finally the Latin American hordes are able to witness an intense Asphyx show of which we are infamous for. As for now we're about to krush; Brasilia, Sao Paolo, Curitiba, Rio De Janeiro, Mexico City, San Jose, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Buenos Aires and Medellin. So we hope to see all of you soon, insaniacs!
And once we returned we're gonna start the first recordings the end of November for the long awaited Deathhammer follow up. Lots of tracks are composed and arranged already and we have tons of shredding riffs on the shelves to complete the rest of the album. It will all be in the good old fashioned Asphyx death/doom style so be sure no-one will be disappointed. Do we need to say we want to bring out that coming epic old school beast as soon as possible? Whatever happens, 2016 will be a good metal year already, that's an Asphyx guarantee!"
More news about Asphyx and their upcoming studio album soon.
